Regarding a recent vote, Senator Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) explained why he voted against the amendment (basic net neutrality) and gave an amazing primer on how the Internet works: "It's a series of tubes." and "...an Internet was sent by my staff at 10 o'clock in the morning on Friday and I just got it yesterday." Ack idiots annoy me, just another reason to vote and not let idiots like this get into the senate or re-elected for it. But then again how can you tell if there idiots or not, all they do is lie.

Narrowly rejects strict Net neutrality rules, dealing setback to companies that had made enacting them top political priority.

Me: Basically it will let companies pay for higher bandwidth to there sites, giving an unfair advantage to small businesses and just plain sites on the net. It might also enable internet 'packages' like the cable packages we have now. This is bad seeing as how most of the time there is no compatition for isps in certain areas, so the isp's can charge whatever they want.
